Head is all over the place!

Had a good run this morning, just over 6 miles at a fairly steady pace, but each mile quicker than the last one.  Really need to get stuck into the half marathon training now, but not sure when I’m fitting my long run in this week.  Back at work after a couple of weeks off, and also accompanying my dad to hospital for results of a scan (fingers, toes, everything else crossed that the treatment has worked); child finally goes back to school on Wednesday so hopefully we’ll be back in the swing of things soon.

Last week I had a real confidence booster of a run – I ran a section of the half marathon I’ve entered in October.  It is quite hilly and as I live in an area with no hills, I was getting very worried about how I’d cope with them.  9 hilly miles later, I was feeling much happier!

I’m not sure why, but I’m feeling just generally unsettled at the moment – don’t know if it is work, the health issues in the family or just the normal end of summer blues.  Hopefully things will sort themselves out soon, but I’m going to try and find the time to have a think about what I want to focus on in the next year or so.

How do you find your focus?
