Back at the beginning of the year I contacted Shock Absorber about three ultimate run bras that I had that all seemed to have developed faults – stitching coming away, shrinking, hooks coming out – and they asked me to return them to have a look.
It has taken a little sorting out but Shock Absorber have replaced all three bras and have sent me a fourth as it has taken rather a while to sort out. I was really getting desperate for new bras hence why I was quite excited to open the box that arrived last week!
Three of the bra’s are Ultimate Run Bras – the one that I know supports well. The fourth is the Active bra – another high impact one, so I thought it would be good to take the opportunity to try it out. So today I wore this one for the first time – it seemed comfortable and supportive, so definitely an option. I did find the fasteners on this one more difficult than the Ultimate Run bra though – maybe just what I am used to.
I love the bright colours of the bras – particularly the purple Ultimate Run one. I have tried other sports bras but keep coming back to these as the best ones. Getting them on and off can be a challenge! My trick is to do up the top fastener, then put the bra on over your head, finally do up the lower fastener…….. reverse the process to get it off !
So after having some of these bras that I have had to send back, will I buy them again in the future? Yes I will. I still think that they offer the best support that I have found. I do wish that they were a bit cheaper though! My advice would be to keep an eye on the sales and try to buy them then rather than paying full price.
